Treatment Process

Our SkinPen ® Microneedling procedure is quick and easy. Here’s what to expect:

Consultation – This is where you can discuss your aesthetic goals and concerns. Our experts will evaluate your needs and suggest the most suitable treatment approach, ensuring your expectations align with the possible outcomes.
Preparation – The targeted area will be thoroughly cleansed, and a topical anaesthetic is applied to minimize discomfort.
Procedure – Skinpen® Precision is used by our lead esthetician or physician to create 2-3 million tiny micro channels in the skin using a pen-like device. The needles pierce your skin at various depths ranging from 0.25mm to 2.5mm to trigger your natural healing response and evoke collagen and elastin production. Depth is determined by the areas being treated and the skin concern being addressed. This will be reviewed with your practitioner prior to treatment.
Return to Daily Activities – Your skin may be red and feel tight (like a sunburn). Results are immediate and continue to improve up to four weeks post-treatment. Our treatment providers will review your post treatment care instructions along with your client take-home kit. This will be discussed prior to any treatments during your consultation so there are no surprises.
Follow-Up – We will check in after your treatment to ensure you are happy. This is also an opportunity to clarify any questions or concerns you may have during your healing phase.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

We recommend three treatments about a month apart for optimal results. After your initial series, consider one or two treatments a year to maintain your radiant skin. Clients with pigmentation, scarring or deep wrinkles may require 3-5 treatments however, this will be reviewed by your provider during your consultation.

When Will I See Results?

Be patient; the results unfold over time. Expect a couple of days of social downtime post-treatment, with the full effect visible a month after your third session. This waiting period allows your body to naturally produce collagen and elastin for revitalized skin.

Are There Any Side-Effects?

Minimal bleeding during treatment is normal. Post-treatment, you might experience swelling, bruising, and redness for 3-5 days, on occasion you may expect minimal flaking. Side effects typically resolve within 1 week.

How Do I Care For My Skin After Treatment?

Post-treatment skin care involves refraining from washing your face for a minimum of four hours and avoiding makeup, exercise, hot showers, sun exposure, and massages for the next 24 hours. If you observe small pinpoint scabs within three days, resist the urge to pick, touch, or exfoliate them; they will naturally fall off as your skin heals.
